Djembe Drum 14″ Head

Djembe (also djembé, jembe, jenbe, djimbe, jimbe, or dyinbe) is a rope-tuned skin-covered drum played with bare hands. According to the Bamana in Mali, the name of the djembe comes from the saying “Anke djé, anke bé” which translates to “everyone gather together in peace” and defines the drum’s purpose.
In the Bambara language, “djé” is the verb for “gather” and “bé” translates as “peace”.
Made in Ghana. Hard wood. Goat Skin. 24″ tall, 14″ Head.

As a real good sound and nice to look at. Does has semetrical flaws but it is hand made. A few cracks have started,it is a palm wood not hard wood and not kiln dried. For the price it fits my needs well. Ido small amounts of accompanying.
